Ranleys is an online resource built by volunteer contributors, all coming together collectively to share their knowledge and expertise around cars. Approved contributors can update information as needed, so we can catalog and preserve hard to find information, or just information in general that other car enthusiasts might find of interest.
Become a Contributor
To become a contributor, you’ll need to request consideration by filling out the application form below. Before applying, it’s important to note the following –
- Contributors are expected to have extensive knowledge about certain vehicles.
- We don’t just approve anyone and we pre-qualify all applicants heavily.
Ideally, we want genuine car enthusiasts and experts who possess a lot of knowledge about certain types of vehicles. Contributors are responsible for ensuring that the information submitted is valuable, relevant and most importantly of all, accurate and complete.
Contributors are able to add, update and remove site information independently. Once approved as a Contributor, you’ll be able to perform tasks such as –
- Adding new vehicles to the database
- Updating existing vehicles, including technical information
- Adding technical data sheets (engine codes, paint codes etc)
This role is suitable for people who want to contribute in an ongoing manner to ensure the accuracy of any information submitted is maintained.
Contributors are eligible for free advertising
We believe in value exchange. Therefore all contributors are eligible for free ad placements. Contributors can advertise their business of choice, so long as its relevant to the automotive industry. Be mindful that as a contributor you are expected to participate and help. This should not be viewed simply as a means to get free advertising. It’s about sharing your knowledge with others and helping out the car community.
